The evaluation stage of my site consisted on evaluating my whole progress from the beginning of the term to my final products. I had to answer 7 questions:
1) IN WHAT WAY DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USES, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?
I used Photoshop to caret this task in which consisted on listing all the conventions that I've follow or didn't follow to crate my final product. The convention diagrams task in the research log guided me. The task went well as I already knew the conventions that I've used and I just had to discuss the reason behind my decisions.
2) HOW YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
To do this task I used a powerpoint to discuss social groups my magazine targets at depending on age, gender and ethnicity. This task was quite easy and quick to do as I already planned that in the planning stage.
3) WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY?
I used a website called Prezi to create this task. It was quite challenging as I've never used this website before and also I didn't know what institution I wanted, I had to do a lot of secondary research.
4) WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?
This task consisted on creating a moodboard. To do this task I used a website called PICMONKEY and Photoshop. This task was very easy and interesting as I just had to search for images that would describe my audiences wants and needs.
6) WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT TECHNOLOGY FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
This task was very complicated as I has to talk about all the photoshop techniques that I've used to crate my final product. Also I had to describe the photography session that I went to and describe all the equipment that I've used to take the perfect photos
7) LOOKING BACK AT THE PRELIMINARY TASK WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO A FULL PRODUCT?
This was the last question that I had to answer and it was the easiest as I had to compare my music preliminary magazine to my final music magazine. I explained all the techniques that I've learnt over the course to crate this final product.
Overall, I answered all this questions over the ester break which was quite shot but I managed to get it done before the dead line.
